What I'm Reading

“It is what you read when you don't have to that determines what you will be when you can't help it.”
This section is dedicated to books that I'm currently reading for leisure - books that aren't on my Comps Reading List or a course syllabus, but ones that have caught my interest outside of academia, books that family, friends, and colleagues have recommended to me.  If you have any suggestions, please feel free to shoot me a message or leave a comment below. I'd love to hear what you're reading, too!

And Then There Were None, by the Queen of Mystery herself, Agatha Christie.

I grew up reading Agatha Christie novels, and rereading them, I can't help but find myself in awe of what a genius Agatha Christie was.  Her characterization of legends like Hercule Poirot, and her construction of plot twists are just ingenius. Fun fact: I stayed up until 5 a.m. the other night reading this book with all of my lights turned on. That's how riveting it was.
